一、项目介绍
2010年3月我校与北卡罗来纳州立大学签订协议，于每年暑假在工程、物理、生物、环境等学科合作开展暑期研究实践项目。参加项目的学生到美国北卡罗来纳州立大学相关专业实验室，在老师指导下进行研究与实践工作。2010年首批学生成行。具体项目介绍详见附件1。
二、学校介绍
北卡罗来纳州立大学（North Carolina State University）成立于1887年，与北卡大学教堂山分校以及杜克大学是北卡科研三角区的三所支柱院校。北卡罗来纳州立大学拥有超过500项的技术专利，在专利技术力量上排名全美第3位；学校来自产业界的研究资助，排名全美第7位；在公立研究型大学中，非政府资助研究经费，排名全美第12位。在2015年《美国新闻与世界报道》美国综合大学排名中名列第95位。
三、报名条件
1.我校全日制本科三年级学生，大学二年级相当优秀者也可考虑；
2.就读于项目网站所列研究实践项目相关专业；
Some Departments that the students research with(but not limited to): Electrical and Computer Engineering、Computer Science、Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering、Mathematics 、Psychology；
3.托福80分（单项不低于20）或雅思6.5分；
4.在校所学课程成绩良好；
5.具有相关项目工作经验者优先。
四、项目时间
2016年7月9日-8月12日
五、项目费用
在美学习期间的所有费用由学生自理
1.约3,600美元（含项目费、食宿费）；
2.国际旅费。
六、报名方法及时间安排
2.参加项目的同学需在管理系统中生成“学生短期境外学习或活动备案表”，由辅导员及学院教学院长签字（良乡校区宇航、机电、机械、光电、信息、自动化、计算机、软件、材料、化工、生命学院学生可由基础教育学院副院长签字）后在系统中上传PDF版；
3.准备以下项目申请材料并扫描成电子版上传到报名系统：
（1）本人护照首页；
（2）Resume in English (one page)；
（3）Academic Records in English；
（4）Proof of English Proficiency；
（5）Personal Statement (two page limit). Please indicate your research interest, explain why you have chosen a particular field of research and demonstrate your academic background related to the chosen research area, list extracurricular actives and any leadership or volunteer experiences. In this statement do not list the names of faculty you wish to study under；
注意：在报名回执中List TWO faculty from the pre-approved list that match your research interests；
NOTE: NCSU do not allow applicants to contact faculty directly in the beginning. Anyone who breaks the rule will be eliminated from the program automatically. Once students are accepted and the Program Coordinator has opened communication, then students can contact faculty.
